One person was killed and four were injured in a head-on crash in New Paris Wednesday. Authorities say the accident happened just before noon on State Road 15 near County Road 50 when a compact car crossed the center line and hit an oncoming SUV. The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department says Christopher Swihart was a passenger in the car, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
