A crash northwest of Churubusco has claimed the life of a young woman.
Around 7:51 p.m. Sunday night, a car driven by 25 year old Nicholas Luangasa of Bristol crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, striking a truck driven by 23 year old Ethan Richardson. It's unknown what caused the vehicle to cross the line.
Luangasa and his passengers were also taken to the hospital. A 21 year old woman who was treated for a pelvic fracture, and a 1 year old infant was treated for chest bruising.
Richardson also had a passenger; 21 year old Katelynn Keller was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center where she later died.
The Whitley County Sheriff's Department, along with the Churubusco Police and Fire and Noble County Sheriff's Department investigated the crash, and the cause has not yet been released.
