One Fair, One Serious From Yesterday’s Head On Crash

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two-vehicle head-on collision at 9:51 a.m. Thursday in Mentone.
Preliminary investigations were run by Kosciusko County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team.
While traveling west on Ind. 25, east of CR 1000W, George E. May, 55, Rochester, crossed the center line, smashing in to the vehicle of Tyler L. Landrum, 17, Mentone, according to KCSD Public Information Officer Chad Hill. Mentone Fire Department had to pull both drivers out of the respective vehicles.
Both drivers were airlifted to Parkview Hospital Fort Wayne in serious condition with various injuries to their lower and upper extremities.
According to Parkview Fort Wayne today, May is in good condition while Landrum is in serious condition. 
The crash is still currently under investigation. The KCSD was assisted at the scene by members of the Mentone Fire Department, Burket Fire Department, Life-Med EMS and the Mentone EMS.
