Open house for AWL’s Cat House is Saturday

News Release

WARSAW — Animal Welfare League will host an open house to celebrate its new feline facility called the Cat House.

The new facility provides quiet, stress-free indoor areas with many windows for sunlight and fresh air.

The open house is Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The cat house is on the campus of The Animal Welfare League at 1048 South CR 325E.

What started as a dream for Board Member Dr. Carla Carlton DVM and Executive
Director Tonya Blanchard is now a reality.

In early 2021, Dr. Carlton began raising money for a feline-only shelter in a remodeled existing building.

AWL provides housing for a very large and ever-growing population of unwanted cats.
The new facility provides quiet, stress-free indoor areas with many windows for sunlight
and fresh air.

There are newly renovated rooms for intake, free-roaming, medical, and a
relaxed interaction area for those hoping to adopt.

Never-ending gratitude to our donors and Kosciusko County for ARPA funds used to
complete this project.
