WARSAW — You might start seeing outdoor seating in downtown Warsaw sooner than normal.

The city board of works originally began allowing outdoor seating in 2017 with annual renewals, but this year three businesses are seeking permission earlier than expected because of warm weather.

On Friday, the city board of works approved plans for three stores — One Ten Craft Meatery, B+B Courthouse Market and the River CoffeeHouse — and agreed to push back the regular seasonl start time of April 1 to the beginning of March, which arrived Friday.

The River CoffeeHouse opened in February.

One provision was added this year that will require participating merchants to remove any accumulating snow from their sidewalks in the mornings because the city parks department, which provides much of the snow removal from sidewalks, can’t do so with machinery around the tables and chairs.

That policy was approved and will be added to future participating storefronts.

Tables could be put into use as soon as Monday.
