Over 1,000 Attend Annual Right To Life Banquet

Over 1,100 attended the annual Right to Life of North Central Indiana banquet Monday night at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center on the Grace College campus in Winona Lake.
Guests heard emcee WOWO Radio’s Pat Miller and author and columnist David Limbaugh.
The evening included an update from Right to Life director Dave Koontz, who shared the goals for the upcoming year.  Those goals include: multi-media efforts and taking a bus of students to the National Pro-Life Rally and March in Washington, D.C., in January. Right to Life will also continue to partner with Heartline Pregnancy Center on the  Mobile Pregnancy Center unit. The mobile center provides free pregnancy testing and free ultrasounds to women in north central Indiana.
Koontz thanked all those who help to make the banquet a success each year.  He stated that this is one of the largest pro-life banquets in the state of Indiana and “supporters are creating a ripple affect across Indiana”.
This year’s Mary Louise Lowe Pro-Life Award recipients were Kosciusko Runners Association founders and directors Bill and Mary Crane. The Cranes were recognized for their contribution to the community through assisting many life-related organizations to raise funds through 5k runs and walks. The organization has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for non-profits.
Indiana Right to Life President Mike Fichter addressed the crowd, stating that the local banquet was one of the top 10 in the country for number of guests attending. U.S. House Representatives Jackie Walorski and Marlin Stutzman also spoke during the event.
