Packaged Apple Slices Served At Wa-Nee Schools Could Contain Listeria

Concern about possible Listeria contamination has Sun Rich Fresh Foods notifying its customers, including the Wa-Nee School district, about a recall of packaged apple slices. Symptoms include high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. The apple slices were served Thursday in school lunches at NorthWood Middle School and may have been served at all of Wa-Nee Community Schools during the last week. The school district says if your student brought home a package of apple slices during the past two weeks, to throw them out right away, or return them to the school.
