Police: Suspect detained in Indianapolis quadruple slaying

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis Police say a man wanted in connection with the disappearance of a baby girl from the scene of a quadruple slaying has been taken into custody.

Police in Indianapolis say officers and the SWAT team were called to a home at around 2 p.m. Sunday where it was reported that 25-year-old Malik Halfacre was inside. Authorities launched a search for him Saturday after he fled a home where the three adults and a child were found dead and a 6-month-old baby girl was reported missing. It’s unclear how the victims died.

Police said early Sunday that the missing infant, Malia Halfacre, had been found unharmed. Officials did not immediately say whether he had been charged with any crimes or if he was suspected in connection with the slayings.
