Police are warning of a scam going out via text message that looks like it is from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
The scam has been seen statewide, with the text message stating that “Your Indiana Unemployment Insurance Claim account is currently on hold for verification,” then has a link to click on to follow said instructions.
Officials say this message is fake and the state does not communicate via text message for business such as this. If you get the message, you can simply delete the message.
