Positive cases in Indiana drop under 16 percent, down four percent in past three weeks

The amount of positive cases in Indiana has been continuing its slow decline as more testing is being done. In their Sunday update, the State Department of Health reported 511 new cases in the state and 11 additional deaths, but the percent of positive cases is down three percent from not more than a week and a half ago as it hit 15.7 percent.

The total number of cases in the state is up to 27,778 and the number of deaths is 1,607. The number of ICU beds and ventilators being used for COVID-19 related cases is also slowly falling. The total number of tests reported through Sunday was 177,243.

Locally, Kosciusko County is reporting 56 cases. In neighboring counties, Elkhart County has 668, Noble County has 152, Wabash County has 71, Marshall and Fulton Counties have 43 and Whitley County has 21.
