Post-debate poll shows Donnelly-Braun race a “dead heat”

The first poll released after the contentious Indiana Senate debate shows the race is extremely close.

Graves Marketing has released the poll, which shows incumbent Democrat Joe Donnelly leading with 44 percent.

Republican challenger Mike Braun has 40 percent. Libertarian Lucy Brenton came in with 7 percent.

Four percent is within the margin of error, so the race for Indiana’s Senate seat is considered a statistical dead heat.

A second debate will take place on Oct. 30 in Indianapolis.
