Power Outages Restored Around The Area

Most power outages have been restored around northern and central Indiana after thunderstorms moved across the state with winds topping 60 mph in some places. Scattered damage was reported from Wednesday's storms, such as trees falling on houses in the DeKalb County town of Butler and in the Randolph County town of Lynn. A woman also was hurt when a tree fell on a vehicle she was driving in Osceola, about 10 miles east of South Bend. Major utility companies reported fewer than 2,000 homes and businesses remained without electricity Thursday morning. Those were scattered between the South Bend area and Indianapolis.
