Presby Preschool Prepares For 60th Year

Presby Preschool has been assisting families with care and instruction for preschoolers since 1963 when the First Presbyterian Church and the Methodist Church in Warsaw began hosting a community nursery school.

In 1985, after completion of a new Christian education area, Presby Preschool became a separate entity, according at a provided news release.

Over 200 children are currently enrolled at Presby. Many of these children are the children and even grandchildren of Presby alumni. The staff has grown to include over 20 teachers, assistants, paraprofessionals and other team members who prepare children to thrive in kindergarten and beyond, stated the release.

Presby offers play-based half-day classes for children 3 to 5 years old. Their mission is to promote healthy spiritual, emotional, cognitive and physical development and to introduce children to the love of Jesus Christ, according to the release.

Registration for Presby Preschool’s 60th year begins today at 10 a.m. on their website at presbypreschool.org.  Copies of the registration form will be available at the church reception desk in the main lobby. Registrations will continue to be accepted until classes are filled.

Presby Preschool is located in the Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 210 S. High St.
