Purdue Extension Homemakers Will Host Holiday Program Nov. 18

The Kosciusko County Extension Homemakers will host their annual holiday program from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Home and Family Arts Building at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds.

This year’s theme is “Home for the Holidays” and will focus on holiday entertaining, decorating ideas and make-and-take crafts.

The day will be divided into two sessions.

The morning session will focus on holiday entertaining and decorating. There will be demonstrations on making charcuterie boards, creating tiered trays, easy holiday treats and more.

The afternoon will focus on making crafts such as Christmas tree wreaths, painted wood snowmen, hand-stitched felt ornaments, picture frame door decorations, tree ornaments and banners.

Instructors for the crafting sessions are Janice Bolin, Marvene Johnson and Sue Martin.

Cost for the day is dependent on the activities each attendee chooses to participate in. Cost for the morning session is $3, which includes morning refreshments provided by Tippecanoe Township Extension Homemaker Club. Lunch cost is $3 and will be provided by the Better Homes Extension Homemaker Club. The cost for the afternoon sessions are based on the crafts each attendee selects to make.

Additional information and registration form can be found by visiting the Kosciusko County Indiana Extension Homemaker Facebook page or contacting the Kosciusko County Extension Office at 574-372-2340.  Registration deadline is Nov. 1. This program is open to the public.
