Purdue Film Festival Coming Soon

Fans of science fiction and technology will find some of both this month at Purdue University when the school hosts a film festival during a summit exploring technology's rapid evolution. The “Dawn of Doom” film festival runs Sept. 15-18 and will feature Stanley Kubrick's “Dr. Strangelove” and the science fiction films “Jurassic Park” and “Inception,” along with three other films. Those films will be shown outdoors at two Purdue venues and are free and open to the public. They're being shown in conjunction with a technology summit that will explore whether technology is advancing faster than our ability to understand, regulate or control it and what can be done about it. That summit, called “Dawn or Doom: The New Technology Explosion,” is also free and open to the public.
