WARSAW — All of that melting of snow in the past week exposed an unfortunate situation for the Warsaw Street Department.
There are more leaves to be picked up inside city limits.
Snowfall and freezing conditions sidelined the leaf-collectrion process, but Public Works Superintendent Joe Vetor said crews restarted on Friday and were back at it Monday morning.
The city is relying on one truck with a big vacuum hose to do the remaining work because related equipment on other trucks has already been removed.
Vetor said they hope to finish in the first week of January.
