Residents Asked To Clear Snow For Mail Carriers

As clean-up continues from the most recent snow storm, your being asked to clear the snow from your sidewalks and stairs so your mail can be safely delivered. The postal service says delivery may be delayed whenever streets or walkways present hazardous conditions for letter carriers or when snow is plowed against mailboxes. Also, local fire officials are asking that you remove snow from any fire hydrants close to your home, in case they need them in the event of a fire.
