Camp Alexander Mack in Milford held a ribbon cutting on Wednesday morning to commemorate the camp’s new solar panels that have recently been installed.

Director of Marketing and Communication Todd Eastis says just over 600 panels now cover the roofs over their office building, banquet hall, and chapel to help provide energy to the camp. Executive Director Gene Hollenberg says they help cover anywhere from 80 to 100 percent of the camp’s electricity.

Eastis says the panels could help save the camp upwards of $400,000 in energy costs over the next ten years.
