Road Rage Possible in Fatal LaPorte County Crash

Authorities in LaPorte County say road rage might have contributed to a deadly crash on Sunday night.

The LaPorte County Sheriff's Department says the crash on a rural road near the town of Union Mills killed 38-year-old Michael Edwards of LaPorte. This, after a reported road rage incident began near Valparaiso and continued eastward for several miles into LaPorte County.

Deputies say Edwards' car was trying to pass a car driven by 21-year-old Bryan Baker of Hobart when the vehicles collided. Edwards' car struck a utility pole and Baker's went into a farm field. Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Deputies, and Baker was released after treatment at a hospital.
