Rochester Schools moving to eLearning through mid-November

The Rochester School District will be stopping in-person learning at its schools through the middle of November.

That’s according to an announcement by Superintendent Jana Vance on the Rochester School website this morning. Here is her announcement:

Good afternoon—
It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the close of Rochester Community Schools in-person learning through November 16th . At this time, we anticipate reopening our district on November 17th.

We will be providing meals to all students who would like that service beginning this Wednesday, November 4th. Please check our website www.zebras.net for further information.

Your student’s building level principal will be sending you specific information around virtual learning and those expectations. Please note that virtual learning will begin tomorrow.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but due to COVID and those throughout the district who are either symptomatic or quarantined, it is necessary for us to safeguard all.

Respectfully,
Jana K. Vance, Ed.S
Superintendent
