S.R. 14 to close in Fulton County beginning Friday

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that S.R. 14 is scheduled to close for bridge rehabilitation in Fulton County on or after Friday, Aug. 24, weather permitting.

The road closures are scheduled to take place on S.R. 14 over Chippewanuck Creek, between Rural Street in the Town of Akron and East Division Road in Fulton County. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout the work. The official state detour for the closure will be S.R. 114 to S.R. 15 to S.R 14. The road may be closed up to 90 calendar days during the work.

The bridge is expected to reopen in mid-November, weather permitting. The contract was awarded to Pioneer Associates for $3.7 million and includes the rehabilitation and maintenance of 14 structures throughout the Fort Wayne District.
