The Salvation Army in Warsaw helped a young mother and her family on Tuesday.

Envoy Ken Locke said the mother came in with her two children, stating that her hours have been cut in half because of Indiana’s current restaurant restrictions. The mother told Locke she was concerned about how she was going to feed her family, while trying to keep current with bills.

The mother and her kids were taken back to the Choice Pantry, where she was able to grab some groceries and fresh fruit that had just been delivered. An elderly couple came shortly after to donate a variety of items including food, laundry soap and other supplies to help those in need.

Anyone who would like to donate to the Salvation Army, or would like more information on the food pantry can contact Locke at 574-268-7697.
