Salyer Leaves Chamber for Junior Achievement

Renea Salyer has left the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce to become executive director of Kosciusko Junior Achievement.
Salyer, who joined the chamber in 2012 and worked as vice president of member relations, left July 2 and will start her new role in time for the 2015-2016 academic year.
Chamber President Mark Dobson indicated that Salyer’s departure was unexpected, coming with only three days’ notice. He said the chamber is still in the process of finding a replacement for her role, but praised the staff for stepping up in the meantime.
“It’s exciting to see the energy level of the staff and the way they’ve been stepping up,” he said.
A message left for Salyer seeking comment was not returned as of late this morning. Her LinkedIn.com page has been updated to reflect that she started her new role with Junior Achievement this month, and lists her duties as “Working with area schools, program management, volunteer management, board development, budgeting, fundraising, grant writing, marketing and relationship building.”
