Sherry Heaton, 66, of Winona Lake, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Born on March 28, 1955, in Columbia City, Indiana, Sherry was the daughter of Larry and Dorothy (Stephens) Plummer. She was united in marriage to John Heaton on August 28, 1971, in Winona Lake who preceded her in death November 9, 2021
She was formerly employed as a bus driver for 28 years for the Warsaw School System. Sherry enjoyed spending time with her family that she dearly loved.
Sherry is survived by children, Rachael (Jason) Ormsby of Warsaw, Adrianne (Larry) Dillard, of Walkerton, IN; John Heaton, Jr. of Warsaw, Brooke (Charles) Brickner of Fort Wayne; parents, Larry and Dorothy Plummer; siblings, Laura Shelton, Pam Miller, Larry Jr. (Mary Lou) Plummer, and Shelly (Dean) Hurd all of Warsaw; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by husband John Heaton.
A Celebration of Life Open House with a gathering of friends and family will take place on Saturday January 15, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Winona Lake Senior Center. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel have been entrusted with arrangements for the family.
