Shooting in Rochester sends man to the hospital

ROCHESTER – A shooting in Rochester Saturday night sent one man to the hospital and sent another to jail.

Officers responded to an apartment in the 1500 block of Madison Street just before 9 pm. They found the man living there, Philip Snook, Jr., with a gunshot wound, according to our reporting partners at WNDU.

Officers say Snook got into an argument with 20-year-old Layne Marks and Marks shot him.

Snook was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening.

Marks was arrested and booked into the Fulton County Jail on a charge of criminal recklessness while armed with a deadly weapon, a felony.
