One person was injured in a house fire in Sidney.

Around 10 a.m. Friday, the Sidney Fire Department was called to a house fire at 7439 E. CR 1050S, said Sidney Fire Chief Luke Rockwell.

One person suffered burns during the fire and was transported to a hospital, Rockwell said, but that person’s name was not released.

The house was destroyed by the blaze, but the garage remained intact, Rockwell said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and is undetermined at this time.

It took 3-1/2 hours to put out the fire. The Sidney Fire Department was assisted by the  South Whitley, Chester, Township, North Manchester and Pierceton fire departments.
