Three cats died Wednesday in a Silver Lake house fire.
The cause of the fire at the 500 block of E. Sycamore Street is still being investigated.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire.
The American Red Cross has contacted the family of six to provide them support, Silver Lake Fire Department Chief John Conley said.
Conley said the call for the fire came in at 11:34 a.m. Wednesday. Firefighters were on scene for about two hours.
Fire damage was limited to a couple of rooms, but there was smoke, heat and water damage in parts of the house.
Conley estimated damage to be between $15,000 to $20,000.
Also assisting at the scene were the Claypool and Sidney fire departments.
