Silver Lake woman arrested after police pursuit in Winona Lake

A Silver Lake woman was arrested after a short police pursuit Sunday afternoon in Winona Lake.

19-year-old Skylar Stahl, 19 was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail for resisting law enforcement, aggravated battery and possession of paraphernalia.

According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office report, around 2 p.m. Sunday Winona Lake Police Department officer Riley Arvanitis attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a black 1999 Mercury Mountaineer, driven by Stahl.

Stahl did not stop the SUV and a pursuit ensued.

In the area of CR 250E and East Pierceton Road, Stahl drove off the road and onto Stonehenge Golf Course. The vehicle continued through the golf course and two other properties.

Stahl then drove through an iron fence before her vehicle came to a stop in a yard on East Muirfield Road.

Stahl was arrested and her vehicle was towed and impounded.

A passenger in her vehicle was not injured or arrested.

Damage was estimated at $5,000 to $10,000.
