Smart Phone App Created For Citizens To Help Police Solve Crimes

A new smartphone app could help police solve crimes by allowing citizens to record videos of potential criminal activity and immediately send them to police and loved ones at the click of a button. Android and iPhone users can download the “ICE BlackBox” app for free. Users are asked to allow the app to access contact information, location and camera. When a user records a video in the app, it is immediately uploaded to the cloud. The video is then sent via email or text message to the contacts you've set up. The video cannot be deleted from the cloud through the app. The app description suggests users use it to record video of domestic abuse, hate crimes, law enforcement stops, animal abuse, workplace harassment and any incident where a crime is possible.
