South Bend Man In Court For Human Trafficking

A South Bend man is set to appear in Wyoming Michigan District Court on Wednesday on charges of human trafficking after prosecutors say he took a 15 year-old girl across state lines with the intent of offering her for sex with other men. Police caught up with 25 year-old Douglas Jackson outside a motel in Wyoming earlier this month, armed with a gun, and the teenage victim at his side. Besides the human trafficking charge, he also faces charges of criminal sexual conduct, accosting a child, possession of marijuana and felony use of a firearm. He's currently locked up in the Kent County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
