On May 6th, members of BAYADA Home Health Care’s Fort Wayne Skilled Nursing office staff, and a client’s family, surprised nurse Lauren Stouder with a Hero recognition party at her client’s home so that her client Remington Fry, a 3-year-old boy with a rare diagnosis called Kagami-Ogata, could partake in celebrating her with his mother and a few other BAYADA staff members.

The Hero award is part of BAYADA’s Hero Program, which allows the company to recognize and reward those who exceed the highest standards of quality care and work ethic. Heroes can be nominated by their colleagues and clients. This particular local event is part of BAYADA’s national Nurses Week campaign, which includes the offering of NursesWeek.com, where nurses can enter to win a “What’s Your Wish” giveaway kit, and gain access to online expert speaker sessions, panel discussions, podcasts, and more, including a menu of virtual courses for which nurses can earn up to seven Continuing Education(CE) credits for free.

The Fort Wayne Skilled Nursing office staff is also delivering lunches and thank you cards to their other nurses in honor of Nurses Week.
