Spring concerts Wednesday and Thursday at Warsaw PAC

WARSAW — The Warsaw Community High School Bands will present their annual Spring Band Concert on Wednesday, May 24 at 7 p.m.. in the Warsaw High School Performing Arts Center.

The concert will feature the Jazz Band, WCHS Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, and Combined Bands. The program includes such musical favorites as MalagueƱa, How to Train Your Dragon, and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Free will donations will be accepted for the Band department. All donations go to the WCHS Band program. The WCHS Bands are under the direction of Mark Ziegler and David Knouse.

In addition, the Warsaw Community Schools Orchestra program invites the public to its Spring Orchestra Concert on Thursday, May 25 at 7 p.m. at the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center.

The concert will feature the 6th Grade Orchestra, Edgewood and Lakeview Middle School Orchestra, High School Obbligato String Orchestra, and High School Philharmonic Orchestra. The program will honor the senior students by performing music selected by each senior. For the grand finale, all 6th through 12th-grade students plus WCHS alumni will perform a song by Journey.

The Orchestras are under the direction of Angela Dieleman. Donations will be accepted for the Orchestra department. All donations go to the Orchestra program for the upkeep of instruments and to assist students in attending a trip to New York City during Spring Break 2024.
