State Officials Reviewing Community College System Due To Low Graduation Rates

The Commission for Higher Education will probe low performing programs at Ivy Tech Community College, which operates more than 30 campuses in Indiana. The commission could restructure low-performing programs, or even eliminate them. The effort comes after a 25 percent drop in Ivy Tech’s enrollment over the past three years. A state report also shows fewer than 30 percent of students complete a certificate or associate degree program within six years.
