State Representative Concerned About Early Retirement

Worried that changes demanded by the Pence Administration are forcing thousands of public employees at the state and local level across Indiana into early retirement, Indiana State Representative David Niezgodski of South Bend is asking lawmakers to examine the issue. He says other workers who ensure county and local governments operate smootly are choosing to retire, as well, on account of changes made to the retirement plans provided for state and local public employees. He says the changes may save money, but, long-term, he ones who will hurt the most are the people of Indiana.
