Survey Finds E-Cigarettes Popular Among Young People

Researchers at Indiana University have found that smoking remains popular with young people in the state, but not in the form of traditional cigarettes. This year's Indiana Youth Survey shows fewer high school students are using tobacco products. BUT…one in four of the state's 12th graders had used an e-cigarette, in the month before taking the survey. The study was given to more than 111-thousand students in grades 6 through 12. It was the first time the survey included a question about students' use of e-cigarettes. About 15 percent of kids in grades 7 to 12 said they, too, have used vaping products.
