A Kosciusko County elementary school teacher is on administrative leave after being arrested twice in the New Year– once by Syracuse police, and then by a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputy.

38-year-old Kristoffer Brady, who teaches at Syracuse Elementary, is facing preliminary charges of domestic battery and strangulation for a Monday night incident.

WNDU reports Brady was already out on bond after being arrested on January 5 for allegedly driving intoxicated and without headlights on.

Wawasee Community School Corporation officials tell WNDU they are aware of what’s happened and are awaiting more information.

The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office is still reviewing the case to determine charges.
