ORIGINAL STORY (JULY 17):

A new voting contest for the county will make an important determination…who makes the best taco.

The Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau announces “Taco Wars”. Up to ten restaurants will be nominated to compete in the contest, and a winner will be determined by online voting.

If you want to nominate your favorite taco restaurant, you have until Wednesday to do that at the Kosciusko County County Convention and Visitors Bureau website.

Following nominations, the voting round will kick off Friday and will end on July 31. The winner will be crowned “Best Taco in Kosciusko” and will move on to the regional round to try and win “Best Taco in Indiana’s Cool North.”

Its all part of the Indiana’s Cool North Taco Wars project, taking place in Kosciusko and six other counties: Porter, LaPorte, St. Joseph, Marshall, Elkhar, and LaGrange.

Once the voting begins, you can vote every day. Voters are also eligible to win a $25 gift certificate to the winning restaurant if they sign in and vote each round.
