PIERCETON — The 18th annual Heirloom Tomato Festival in Pierceton continues to grow.

This year's festival had a wide variety of activities, including an annual baking contest, live music, a historical tour, and even Bloody Mary drinks available in a sectioned-off area.

Despite a few sprinkles, the event continues to grow and now takes up nearly all of Brower Park.

This year, organizers added a cherry tomato spitting contest that attracted nearly 20 contestants. The top participant had a 26-foot toss.

Officials hope to bring back the contest next year.
