WARSAW — Two people were injured in an accident Friday night near Syracuse.

The one-vehicle accident happened shortly before 6 p.m. near the intersection of CR 1000N
and CR 450E, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.

A Trailblazer was traveling west on CR 1000N near CR 450E when it left the north side of the roadway for an unknown reason and traveled through a field. The Trailblazer then went across CR 450 E and continued through a field.

The Trailblazer rolled several times and came to rest off the south side of the road.

The driver, Alisha Rowe, 38, Nappanee, and a nine-year-old boy were ejected from the vehicle.

Rowe was flown from the scene to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, and the boy was transported by EMS to Lutheran Hospital.

Both patients were suffering from internal injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Kosciusko County Fatal Team, Syracuse Police Department, Syracuse Fire and EMS Department, MedFlight Air Ambulance and Kosciusko County Highway Department.
