As part of the celebration, a 30-foot by 60-foot American flag will be raised at noon on Friday, followed immediately by the national anthem.

A representative from the governor’s office will present an official proclamation recognizing the importance of antique tractors and farm equipment to Indiana’s rich agricultural heritage, according to a provided news release.

The proclamation acknowledges the generations of Hoosier farmers whose hard work and innovation helped build Indiana into one of the nation’s leading agricultural states. Antique tractors and farm equipment serve as lasting reminders of the ingenuity, determination, and values that continue to shape rural communities today.

Echoes of the Past, founded more than 30 years ago in Kosciusko County, is dedicated to preserving and demonstrating antique tractors, engines, and farm equipment for future generations. SummerFest features antique tractor displays, tractor pulls, demonstrations, exhibits, food vendors, and activities for the entire family.

The event also ties into the nationwide celebration of America 250, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Preserving and showcasing the machinery that helped feed America is a meaningful way to honor the nation’s agricultural legacy as communities celebrate this historic milestone.

The event is supported by the ML Community Impact Alliance, Kosciusko County’s America 250 coordinating organization, which continues working with local partners to recognize the people, places and traditions that have helped shape both Indiana and the nation.

The public is invited to attend this free patriotic celebration of Indiana agriculture, history and heritage, stated the release.
