WARSAW — After wailing away in Central Park for the Rockin' Riley concert for kids, Ari Kamin took his vocal talents to Rex’s Rendezvous for a late-night treat.

The frontman for Steven Adler (who has continued the legacy of Guns N' Roses with his own band), followed up with what was viewed by many as the most enthralling rock show the city parks department has ever hosted, by taking the stage at Rex's for an impromptu performance of the classsic, 'Sweet Child O' Mine.'

Kamin and some of his other bandmates strolled in unannounced to the downtown bar, which was already packed with a crowd that had come to check out Aint Ryte.

As it turns out, the band had shown up Thursday night in search of pizza and beers and hung out for about two hours without letting anyone know who they were, according to Crystal Watters, the co-owner of Rex's.

"I had no idea who they were then and didn't really even connect the dots when they came in (Friday) night until he started singing," Watters said Saturday afternoon.

Some customers soon realized who they were, and a member of Kosciusko ABATE let the local band know Kamin was more than willing to take the stage, said Lang Morgan, Aint Ryte's lead singer.

Aint Ryte often includes Guns N' Roses music in their show, so they were ready for the moment. Morgan then stepped aside and recorded the performance on her phone.

Kamin's showmanship carried over into the packed bar as he stepped onto the dance area and let some of the patrons join in singing along.

Morgan was one of many who were taken aback by how closely Kamin mirrors the Guns N' Roses' sound.

"It's not obviously going to sound exactly like Axl Rose, but he's pretty darn close. I was really impressed," Morgan said.

After a few beers, they ordered a pizza to go and headed out the door, Watters said.

"It was a lot of fun. They were very nice guys," Watters said.
