WARSAW — Saturday night will be One Ten Craft Meatery’s last day of dinner service.

“We’re going to be closing One Ten down. Over the next few weeks, we’re going to put everything up for sale, put the buildings for sale, the business for sale, see what happens,” owner Jason Brown said Tuesday afternoon. “In the interim, we’re going to be doing private structured events, private dinners, still do caterings and things like that.”

One Ten Craft Meatery and The Vic are at 110 N. Buffalo St., Warsaw. Anyone interested in purchasing the buildings can contact Brown directly at 812-345-6385.

“All private events and catered events that we have scheduled through the end of the year, we’re going to honor until the buildings change hands. So if they’re already on the books, that’s taken care of, we’ll honor and take care of it. And, we’re looking forward to whatever comes next,” he said.

Brown said at this point he doesn’t know what that next thing will be.

“I’ve been in food since I was 16 years old. It was a lifelong dream of mine to own and operate a restaurant, and I was fortunate enough to do it at 30, and we did it for 10 years, so I’m sure I’ll probably stay in food. I just don’t know what that looks like, whether that’s standing over a grill, whether that’s standing in somebody’s kitchen as a private chef or what. So I don’t really know,” Brown said.

One Ten Craft Meatery and The Vic employ about 24 people, with eight of them being full-time.

“The only thing that my hands are associated with are One Ten, and then, obviously, The Vic, which is our catering space,” he said.

One Ten and The Vic are two separate buildings that have been conjoined.

One Ten, the restaurant, is where the main dining room is and seats about 55 people. It has a full commercial kitchen, full useable basement and is just under about 3,000 square feet. One Ten does operate under a riverfront liquor license.

The Vic is split up into two different rooms. The front room can hold about 100 people standing-room only, and about 65 people if there’s a seated dinner. Brown said it does have its own independent bar program and its own independent bakery.
In the back of The Vic is a secondary room, which is called the Prohibition Room, and can hold another 22 guests.
In total, Brown estimated the restaurant can have 170 people, give or take. There’s also the patio, which he estimated can seat another 16-18 people.

“It’s been a wonderful 10-year journey. We’ve really enjoyed it. Warsaw has been wonderful. It’s been just a great experience. I wouldn’t replace it for anything. Sometimes in life, chapters just need to be opened and closed, and that’s kind of where we are right now, and if anybody is looking to start their own chapter, we’d love to talk,” Brown said.
