News Release

WARSAW — CASA of Kosciusko County has announced the election of three new board members for 2024.

Those include Chris Plack, director of Development and Planned Giving at Cardinal Services, Jason Gergely, a wealth advisor at Alderfer Bergen & Co., and Roberto Perez-de-Frias, operations director of Global Operations and Logistics for Zimmer Biomet.

Plack brings extensive experience in community service and fundraising. His dedication to the community is evident through his involvement in various organizations. He serves on the board of directors for Launchpad and the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist
Club and was recently elected as a state delegate to the Indiana GOP state convention.

Plack has also previously served on the boards of The Watershed Foundation and The
Kosciusko County Cemetery. His comprehensive experience in both community service
and organizational leadership positions him as an ideal addition to the CASA Board of
Directors. He's an Anchorage, Alaska native, and lives in Warsaw with his wife of 15
years, Jamie, and their twins, Sullivan and Charlotte.

Gergely is active in serving children and youth in the Warsaw area. His heart and gift of advocacy has benefitted CASA previously when he was a Board Member and Past President of the Board, as well as a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Jason has
previously served on the Board of the Warsaw Morning Optimist Club and is still a
member. His past service to CASA of Kosciusko County and his financial expertise are
great benefits to the Board. Jason chose to live and raise his family in Kosciusko
County when he moved here with his wife, Lindsay, in 2014.

Perez-de-Frias has invested his time and passion into the community. He is on the Board and serves as Board President for Kosciusko County Habitat for Humanity. He's also a board member and Vice President of One Warsaw; on the Career & Purpose Wellbeing Committee for LiveWell Kosciusko; a Tiger Ambassador for Warsaw Community Schools; a member of Kosciusko County’s Chamber of Commerce Latino Business Initiative; a Board member of TodosJuntos – Latinx Network (Northern Indiana); Juntos ERG Global Chair Emeritus (Zimmer Biomet); and other volunteer roles.

Roberto often volunteers with his wife, Viviana, and their three daughters.

“We are delighted to welcome Chris, Jason, and Roberto to our Board of Directors,” said
Erin Rowland, Executive Director of CASA of Kosciusko County. “Their commitment to
improving the lives of children and their investment in the community make them all an
excellent fit for our organization.”
