WARSAW — Remnants of the weekend snowstorm were still being cleaned up across the region Monday morning, and bitterly cold temperatures are expected to remain in place for the workweek, the National Weather Service predicted.

A travel advisory for Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Marshall, Pulaski, Starke remained in effect Monday morning and a cold weather advisory is expected until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Lake-effect snow is possible this morning, with larger accumulations near Lake Michigan and smaller amounts in northern Kosciusko County.

Schools remaind closedon Monday and Warsaw City offices were expected to open at 10 a.m.

Today's high temperatures are expected to remain in the single digits for much of the day. The overnight low will be near zero, and wind chills today and tonight will fall to around minus 15.
