INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force has created a new website that will provide the public with information relative to reporting internet crimes against children, resources, statistics, applicable statutes, and much more.

The Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is a multiagency task force that investigates and prosecutes persons who use the internet to exploit or entice children sexually.  The Indiana State Police oversees the Indiana ICAC Task Force, comprised of over 50 local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

Since the inception of the Indiana ICAC Task Force in 2005, there has been a significant increase in complaints concerning online sexual exploitation and enticement of children.  In 2022, the Indiana ICAC received over 14,000 CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

The Indiana ICAC Task Force encourages Hoosiers to report all online exploitation, solicitation, and enticement-type crimes against children to NCMEC.  To report an active crime against your child involving the Internet or other electronic means, please contact your local Indiana law enforcement agency.

It announced Thursday its center in Muncie will close Friday and one in Terre Haute will close on Wednesday.

Planned Parenthood also says its Valparaiso center will merge with one in Merrillville on July 21, the Fishers center will be folded into its Indianapolis east side operation on July 26, the Avon center will be consolidated with one on the Indianapolis south side on Aug. 30, and the East Chicago center will merge with one in Gary on Dec. 15. It says the consolidated health centers will have extended hours.

The nonprofit says patients of its Muncie and Terre Haute health centers are being directed to other nearby health centers.
