WARSAW — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kosciusko County has seen the number of matches grow by more than 100 in the past two years — and that’s fueled the need for a new fundraiser.

NORTH WEBSTER — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana announced its inaugural comedy show fundraiser, "Laugh for Kids’ Sake,” set to take place at the Owl’s Nest in North Webster on March 22.

This event aims to raise funds and awareness for the organization's mission of fostering one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth, according to a news release from BBBS.

Featured comics include Jacob Readdy, Bailey Hostetler, Corey Mann, Carl Dean, Sean Shank, Colton Cole and local comedian and Big Sister Amanda Sautter.

Attendees can anticipate an evening filled with laughter and camaraderie, featuring performances by seven talented comedians, the release said.

The event, exclusively for adults, will kick off at 7 p.m. followed by the comedy show at 8 p.m.

Guests will enjoy a selection of heavy appetizers available for their enjoyment throughout the evening. A cash bar will be on-site offering a variety of beverages.

In addition to the comedy performances, "Laugh for Kids’ Sake" will feature a wine and bourbon pull, adding an element of excitement and surprise to the evening, the release said. Guests can also participate in a 50/50 drawing.

All proceeds from "Laugh for Kids’ Sake" will directly support the Big Brothers Big Sisters programs in Kosciusko County in its mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
