WARSAW — Warsaw Community Public Library will begin surveying the community beginning in September as it contemplates its long-term future.

Library Director Heather Barron told the library board on Monday that the survey will begin Sept. 3 and coincides with a feasibility study as the board looks at the future of the Carnegie-style building.

"We just want people to tell us why are you using this library, what does it mean to you? What are the main things you are there for, and also, we're very, very interested in reaching out to people who aren't using the library who don't know or understand the many services and materials we offer," Barron said.

The survey will be available at the library and numerous online locations.

"We'll have paper copies, we'll have available on our social media, and we'll have it anywhere we can get our partners to put the links," she said.

The board has been considering whether to conduct major renovations to the existing building or consider a new location, but no decision has been made.
