WARSAW — The westbound lanes of East Prairie Street, between Buffalo Street and Indiana Street, will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

This closure is necessary for pipe repairs.

Eastbound lanes will remain open. Westbound traffic should use Indiana Street north to Winona Avenue as a detour.

WARSAW — McKinley Street from Winona Avenue to Durbin Street in Warsaw will be closed for much of next week, beginning Monday.

The closure is needed for utility work related to the Union Lofts apartment project.

Information from the city of Warsaw said the road should be reopened by the end of the week.

WARSAW — Zimmer Road will be closed beginning today until Thursday between Zimmer Lane and the railroad tracks for a water main replacement.

Motorists should plan additional travel time and an alternate route. West Old U.S. 30 and West Crystal Lake Road are suggested detours around the closure.

WARSAW — Two additional closures of Anchorage Road have been scheduled by NIPSCO to continue ongoing utility work in the area.

The first closure will take place from Tuesday, through Friday, April 11, between Sunset Drive and the west approach to Anchorage Point Drive.

Once the first closure is reopened on or around April 11, the second closure will begin and will end on or around Wednesday, April 16.  The second closure will be between the east approach of Anchorage Point Drive and US 30.

Residents and businesses in the area will maintain local access from either the east or west end of the closure areas.  All other motorists are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes and plan additional travel time.

WARSAW — Old Road 30E in Warsaw will be closed on Thursday for six hours for emergency utility work.

The city of Warsaw issued the following statement:

On Thursday, from approximately 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., motorists can expect a road closure along Old Rd 30E, from Kosciusko Drive to just west of the intersection at CR 225 E. as crews work to repair a failed drain tile that is causing drainage backups in the area.

There may be additional roadway restrictions announced in the near future as the plans to complete the repair move forward.

The primary detour route will include Kosciusko Drive, CR 175E, CR 75N, and CR 225E.

Motorists may also use alternate routes along US 30 and CR 250E or US 30 and Parker Street to Patterson Road to avoid the road closure.

WARSAW — Part of Anchorage Road in Warsaw is once again closed for a few days beginning today.

The city of Warsaw said NIPSCO haD encountered a need to close Anchorage Road for an additional three days to complete gas relocation work.  

The closure began Wednesday morning and will continue through Friday.

Hours of closure will be 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  

The closure will be at the intersection of North Rainbow Drive and Bay Circle Drive.  

North Rainbow Drive will be accessible at all times from the west.  Bay Circle Drive will be accessible at all times from the east.  Crews will place steel plates over the worksite and reopen the road each evening.

Motorists not requiring direct access to businesses or homes Anchorage Road are strongly encouraged to utilize detours and avoid the area to reduce traffic back-ups.
