<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">WARSAW — A Goshen woman accused of hitting a horse-drawn buggy Friday night in Kosciusko County before fleeing the scene is believed to have been well over the legal limit for alcohol. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">24-year-old Jakayla Miracle was behind the wheel in an accident shortly after 7 p.m. on SR 19 near CR 1050N, according to a report by the Times-Union.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Miracle struck the buggy from behind, police believe.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Minutes later, dispatch received a call about a vehicle driving east in the westbound lanes of US 30 near County Road 800W.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A Warsaw police officer then conducted a traffic stop near CR 350W.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Miracle denied being involved in the accident and attributed the heavy front-end damage on her vehicle to a deer accident. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Four people were injured, including 41-year-old Lori Miller of Napanee, who was in the intensive care unit at Memorial Hospital in South Bend with a brain bleed and other injuries.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Miracle was being held at the Kosciusko County Jail on a $20,000 bond and is facing several charges.</span></p>
<p>Court documents said Miracle’s preliminary alcohol test results were 0.14.</p>
<p>Polie also found alcoholic beverages inside her vehicle.</p>

<div>According to information from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, at 6:28 a.m. today, emergency personnel were dispatched to a one-vehicle accident in the area of 1676 N. 19, south of Etna Green involving a semi and trailer.</div>

<div>The semi was driven by Nedal A. Elabed, 36, from Mokena, Ill.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Elabed was northbound on Ind. 19 and, for an unknown reason, left the east side of the road and struck a tree.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Elabed had to be extricated from the vehicle and was flown by Samaritan helicopter to South Bend Memorial for treatment of his injuries.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Assisting at the scene was Etna Green Fire Department, Mentone Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, Mentone Police Department, Indiana State Police, Samaritan Air and Reichert &amp; Knepp Wrecker Service.</div>
