Officers with the State Police and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department were called to an accident on U.S. 31 around 7:30 p.m.

Police believe 51-year-old Steven Biggs had been crossing the road near County Road 50 East when he was hit by a car.

He died at the scene.

The motorist driving the vehicle was not hurt.
